Learning from nature to rethink engineering.
Under the mentorship of Cornell professor Sunghwan Jung, I explored how fish locomotion and hydrodynamics can inform engineering design. I examined how biological movement reduces drag, conserves energy, and adapts to changing environments.

Eco-Friendly Detergent & Registered Patent
Turning an everyday problem into a patent environmental solution
I developed an eco-friendly detergent designed to reduce dye transfer between fabrics. The project progressed from chemistry research and formulation testing to prototyping, industry consultation, and patent registration.

Synthetic biology for real-world challenges
As part of an international iGEM team, I contributed to research communication, sustainability framing, and the project’s connection to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. I also represented the team as an SDG Leader during the 2025 Grand Jamboree in Paris.

Shape-Reconfigurable Sustainable Temperature Sensor Based on Beeswax–Activated Carbon Composite
Developed and presented a sustainable temperature-sensing concept using beeswax and activated carbon composite materials. The project explored how material properties could support flexible and environmentally conscious sensor design.

Colloidal Oatmeal as a Barrier-Restoring Botanical
Investigated colloidal oatmeal as a sustainable botanical ingredient for supporting the skin barrier. The project examined its hydration, anti-inflammatory, and protective properties, along with its potential applications in environmentally conscious skincare formulations.
